the battleground is laid bare
with broken spears and scattered shields.
you cannot walk a straight line
without seeing a body.
a familiar face.
a story you thought you had outrun.
within the carnage,
you have found peace,
knowing you did everything you could
to salvage those
who were meant to be left in the past.
Reblogs this x1000 to try to get rid of cultural ignorance when it comes to this. Because breaking down Indian stereotypes in particular is incredibly important to me for many reasons.
Tell me if I doubt you I’m wrong for it, I’m wrong for it
If anybody’s in my corner, it’s you
I wanna know, I wanna know, I wanna know
That nobody, no face could take you away
‘Cause there’s a life to this thing we got
There’s a life to the things we do
To tell the truth, I only want you, baby
I like to see people reunited, I like to see people run to each other, I like the kissing and the crying, I like the impatience, the stories that the mouth can’t tell fast enough, the ears that aren’t big enough, the eyes that can’t take in all of the change, I like the hugging, the bringing together, the end of missing someone.
sigh. such a sap. Used to love a good fairytale. Now I just watch and let it all pass by. Detachment never felt so good since holding on has killed me….in a God way.
